$1,500.00

Materials: Oil pastels on canvas board

Dimensions: 16” x 12” x 1/8”

Year: 2023

Original artwork

Driving through California, you are bound to pass by grapevine fields. They stretch in all directions as far as an eye can see, reaching the sky. Countless rows of astonishingly green grapevines bathe in the golden sunlight to produce rich, fine wines. As I watched them through my car window, they turned and twisted as if in an elaborate synchronized dance.

Experiment. Part 2

I let the base layer to dry for a day before going in with oil pastels. The result made me happy 😃 Oil sticks create a gritty texture that makes it easy for oil pastels to adhere to.
